Why we built ScoreIt

Last fall, I found myself standing on the sidelines of a high school football game, watching our team pull off an incredible fourth-quarter comeback. The energy was electric—parents were cheering, students were on their feet, and the whole community felt connected in that moment. But as the final whistle blew and the celebration began, I watched our athletic director pull out his phone, open Instagram, and spend the next 20 minutes trying to craft the perfect post.

That moment stuck with me. Here was someone who should have been celebrating with his team, instead hunched over a phone, wrestling with social media algorithms and formatting. It wasn't the first time I'd seen this—I'd watched coaches and athletic directors across the country do the same dance after every game. Post to Instagram, then Twitter, then maybe update the school website if they had time. All while the excitement of the game faded and the moment passed.

I've been around high school sports my whole life. I played, I coached, and I've watched countless games from the stands. What I've learned is that these games matter. They bring communities together. They create memories. They deserve to be shared in a way that's as professional and meaningful as the effort that goes into them.

But the tools schools use today weren't built for this. Instagram prioritizes engagement over clarity. Twitter moves so fast that important updates get buried. School websites are clunky and rarely mobile-friendly. The result? Important game information gets lost, parents miss updates, and schools spend valuable time managing platforms that weren't designed for their needs.

We built ScoreIt because we believe high school athletics deserve better. Every game matters. Every score deserves to be shared clearly. Every community should have easy access to the updates they care about, without having to navigate social media feeds or outdated websites.

ScoreIt is designed from the ground up for schools. It's fast—you can post an update in 30 seconds, not 30 minutes. It's consistent—every post looks professional, every time. It's reliable—a dedicated platform that won't get lost in social media noise. And it's simple—no complex features you don't need, just what works.

But more than that, ScoreIt gives schools back their time. Time to celebrate with their teams. Time to connect with their communities. Time to focus on what matters most—the games, the athletes, and the moments that bring everyone together.

We're just getting started. Our goal is to make ScoreIt the standard tool for high school athletic departments across the country. We're building this with schools, for schools, and we're committed to making it better every day.

If you're a coach, athletic director, or school administrator, we'd love to have you join our free pilot program. Help us build the future of high school sports communication—one that respects the games, the communities, and the people who make them possible.
